Hello from Portland, Oregon

Hi, My name is Matt. I live in Portland, Oregon and am a huge fan of fountain pens. My favorite pens are the Kawecos and I'm currently on the hunt for a few colors I missed during their initial release as it was before I fell in love with fountain pens and the fountain pen community. 

Living in Portland, my go-to place is a paper and stationary store called Oblation Paper. I try to shop local but online has been a great source to connect with kindred spirits and marketplaces for those hard to find pens. 

My first grail purchase was recent and was an Ancora Fountain Pen - Titanic Edition. It's my favorite but I'm still working up the bravery to ink it and start writing with it haha. 

Looking forward to connecting with others who are passionate about the same products as me, sharing photos, and navigating this awesome site on where to post my questions on the few Kaweco color ways I'm hoping to locate from someone. Hello everyone from the Pacific Northwest!

Welcome to FPN, Matt!   Glad you and your Kawecos have come to join us.  Personally, I say ink that pen and make sure it works right before the warranty period runs out!  But that's me.   (Maybe don't do it while on board a cruise ship, just in case. )

Thanks Liz! That's a good point to do it while warranty is still valid. Taking your advice on that. Will do while I'm on land haha

Hi- fellow Portlander here! Welcome! If you like to stay local, there’s also Main Street Stamp and Stationery in Tigard- super nice and the owner told me they’ve been around for about 55 years. There’s a pen club in town- PDX Pens.

The Iridescent Pearl is so beautiful isn't it?! Such a cool color way
