EFNIR: Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black

Great review! This was my first black ink, I like it quite a bit. One thing about it that it's smells a lot! Not an unpleasant smell, but a strong 'chemical', maybe rubbery like smell. The color changes a lot depending on the nib, I tried it on mediums and it got some shading going on which I know it's controversial for black inks. Nice to know it's really consistent on a fine nib though, I haven't tried that.

Yeah, in the EF nib, there was no shading.  Lamy Black is also very black from my EF nib but shaded a bit from my Al-Star 1.1 stub.

As I told ASD, I didn't notice a smell, but I'm started to feel tempted to go sniff the vial.... :roller1::lol:
