My CS Duro had a bath today.  It's going to have a rest for a month or more.

My other Jinhao 80. The ink I tried in it did not work at all! Had to clean it out.

Cleaned out my MB 221, found a hairline crack and have to replace the barrel. The pen otherwise writes great and has no issues.

This morning I cleaned out a Gioia Métis (finally! That pen holds a ton of ink) and a Sheaffer Snorkel (what a lovely nib).

Eager to put ink in something new, because I have the attention span of an overcaffeinated hummingbird, but I'm going to tie myself to the mast and use what I already have in my desk tray first.

Last night I cleaned out the Parker Vector Looney Toons "Sylvester" pen, which I had been running Noodler's La Reine Mauve in.  But realized last night that (possibly due to the crazy weather we had this past week -- including a couple of EF-0 tornadoes about an hour north of us; and a stronger one, I think, about an hour and a half south of us a couple of days ago that the pen may have burped ink into the cap.  Also gave the replacement Dark Dusk Safari a quick flush to get out any residual gunk when it came yesterday.

Parker Arrow (1980s), Parker Premium IM Last Frontier Submerge, Brute Force Designs/FPR Ultraflex, and Sheaffer Slim Targa. A couple of new pens, and some that ran out of ink. I have a feeling that several more will be out of ink soon.

Parker 61 ,It will take several days,

61s (at least the capillary fill ones) hold a LOT of ink.  When I got my first one, I started to flush it out from behind with a bulb syringe -- and reconstituted ink started coming out the pen.  So I started writing with whatever blue ink was in it.  Then, when it ran dry, started to flush it again to get the residual ink flowing again.  And repeated the process for something like 3 MONTHS until the ink still in the pen was so diluted that it was practically illegible on the page.  Then gave it a really thorough flushing out.

It's too bad that Parker used such a lousy crack-prone plastic on those.  If they had made them out of Lucite, like they did for 51s?  I'll bet they'd still be on the market today.

Medium-short (very popular in German in the '50-60's) Geha 760, semi-flex OB.

Like always I'm ever so shocked at how much ink is still in an empty pen. Geha's have that ink reserve button that holds a page or so more ink. So it takes three times as long to clean out, than a Pelikan. I do find that MB cleans out best of my piston pens.

Shin-ryoku, forest green, is very dark but shades in an F. The above is the Geha 760 it is much lighter and shades in semi-flex OB.

The below was a shock...it really was already cleaned out. :P

A 1948-52 blind cap Italian Columbus piston pen. Replacement gold-plated no name nib, that is a maxi-semi-flex, in eyeballed F.

I have quite a few no name nib that are semi-flex; in that was standard in German pens of the '50-60's.

I have at least two no name maxi-semi-flex nibs.

I have some 35-8 semi-flex and 16 maxis.BoMpyJz.jpgl8bEROA.jpg
