Most of this week I've been trying to flush out the Reform cartridge pen I got at an estate sale last weekend.  I have no idea whether it takes International Standard cartridges/converters, but once it's really clean, and is no longer leaching the unknown black ink out of it, I'm going to try one of the Edelstein Amethyst cartridges left over from the first Pelikan Hub I went to (and hope that the pen's barrel will hold International Standard long cartridges -- that will give me hope that I will be able to find a converter to fit it).

Today I cleaned out my Pilot Custom 823 EF (Fujiyama Blue). I flushed the Iroshizuku Hotaru-bi that was in it last and refilled it with Graf von Faber-Castell Yozakura, which unfortunately seems (maybe predictably) too dry to be pleasant in this pen.

Parker vector and refilled with Pilot shin Kai to even up the pen fills, having washed it and Quink out of two of my more expensive pens that are drying and awaiting a fill with good ink

I cleaned my four P51s.  Unfortunately it looks as though my one vacumatic needs attention as it was taking on very little fluid.   I was kind of prompted to as I bought another P51 (my first for several years) on impulse a couple of days ago.  Still waiting for that one to arrive.

My trusty (and durable) titanium Gravitas pocket pen was starting to skip.  My fault. I wasn't giving it enough attention as of late.  A flush, a soak and a light tuning of the nib and it is flowing better than ever.  Ben Walsh sold me a stainless steel section during the SF pen show and, although it made it heavier, it has given it such as delightful balance that it should no longer be ignored.  Such a delight to write with!

The complete PITA that is the Parker Sonnet that refuses to write consistently. Full strip down and clean with soap, water, nail varnish remover and washing up liquid before a good drying out and re-assembly. Then cartridge back in. Does anyone else find the Sonnet 18k nibs dry and unpredictable writers that go wet and dry and show a lot of line variation? Are they semi-flex / Japanese soft nibs?

Acetone?

Yep, read it dissolves old ink, also use it at work for removing permanent and old dried up dry wipe marker that won’t come off. It has worked a treat

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
