Teranishi Guitar Kaisho Roman ink series - quick overview

I just got a new set of Japanese inks from Teranishi Chemical Industry Co. Ltd.  Found them at Sakura - just a hop away from where I live. These inks come in really nice vintage-style 40ml bottles, packaged in stylish boxes.

The inks look really nice - fairly saturated with a muted colour palette. My first impression is that these will be great to work with. I wanted to give you a quick overview of them: in my opinion they are worth checking out. Full reviews of these inks are coming, but it might take a while 😉 So many inks... so little time.

Some of those look quite nice!  Thanks for posting.  I could DEFINITELY see myself using Salon de Violet and (somewhat surprisingly, for me) Nostalgic Honey.

Hoping that they will eventually wind their way stateside.  Although it's odd that they seem to have two different greens, but only one blue -- or is it just a matter that these are the only ones you've tried so far?

Brilliant timing! I came across these recently and very nearly got them, but decided against, and I think that for me, I've made the right decision. Looking at the quick swatches, only two or possibly three appeal, the rest are too saturated.  I did think the bottles and packaging looked very pretty though...

My bank manager and I both thank you @namrehsnoom!

Great comparison! Less so as a comparison with each other but rather one with other inks in that ball bark. As you say, muted. Or, in other words, subtle, subdued, maybe even "decent". I.e. by no means screaming out loud like Baystate Blue, which really does hurt my eyes and ears.

Thank you!  These are great.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I love the term muted saturated. I am looking forward to reading your reviews:. Though these look the opposite spectrum of the Kyoto TAG series, though. :)
