Received a vintage Parker card from InkyPete. Hubby wants to steal it. Got the last one too. I'm behind in sending. I should hopefully be able to get some out toward the end of this week.

You might ask, "Where do they come from?" This is a stall in the local antiques mall in a converted old mill.

Woo! A handful of great cards received today.

inkypete -- Now I see why everyone's talking about those Parker cards!

hennypenny -- Entirely legible. Nice vista!

deauville -- My father in law visits the Dartmoor almost every year. Those stamps look good in person.

ToasterPastry -- Wow, nice fist. Totally impressed that flex nib behaved so well on the card.

Out tomorrow: one for CraigR.

Card received from Raiche59 - pretty quick across the pond - thanks Rachelle.

Thank you Den! For your lovely card (received today)--And no I did not guess your card was homemade. Love the P65 Diamine Teal. Between you and Okami I think I need to consider some turquoise and teal ink in the near future!

Will get to date with PCs this week

The voice of this guitar of mine, at the awakening of the morning, wants to sing its joy;

I sing to your volcanoes, to your meadows and flowers, that are like mementos of the greatest of my loves;

If I am to die away from you, may they say I am sleeping, and bring me back home.

I'd like to join in the fun as well. My cards won't be that exciting as I'm in Cleveland, OH where our chief export is crippling depression but I'd be happy to send them anyway. :P

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
      Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

      Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
