Postcard Swap

I'd like to participate in this. I'd quite like to receive postcards from outside North America, but I'm not opposed to some postcards from Canada and the US.

PM me if you'd like a card from Canada in exchange.

Hello Everyone,

I've had one or two PM's lately about Pooh Bear special issue stamps. Anyway, I asked about special issue stamps at the Post Office today, and it turned out they had a number of Pooh stamps left over from last year. So -- for anyone who wants Winnie the Poo on the right hand corner of a postcard, I've got eight stamps!

Regards,

Suggie

There were a bunch at the mall by my school so I picked up a few (and can aleays grab more) in case anybody collects postcards. :)

Just shoot me a PM with your info and they'll be on their way!

**ETA: The back side has a schedule of different artists and whatnot. Jake Shimabukuro, my ukulele idol is one of them! :)

This sounds great! I'm in Connecticut - I'd love anything from outside the US. So what kind of stuff do you write? Never really sent a postcard before.

A month has passed, but being ever optimistic... Do you have any of your Pooh stamps left? I'd love a postcard with Pooh.

ETA; got message that you cannot receive any new messages. Sorry.

Sorry folks, I let my mailbox get filled and couldn't receive new messages. So if anyone wants a Pooh stamped card, let me know again, please. And for that matter, there's a royal wedding complete with stamps, forthcoming.

I've been sending postcards overseas using all sorts of odd stamps lately. Cowboys, movie stars, jungle scenes, surfers, & etc. Sorry, local cards get the polar bear.

Hi!

I'm a "longtime lurker," but think exchanging post-cards would be great. I'm in Athens, GA right now. If you like the music scene and/or college football--I've got a post-card for that. I'd enjoy getting post-cards from anywhere!

If interested, message me.

Thanks,

Twisted Helix

I have a new post office box. For those of you who have sent me post cards in the past, the old Plaquemine, LA post office box is no longer valid. Here's my new address:

Judy Landry

P. O. Box 836

Addis, LA 70710

I'd love to find a post card or two in this box when I pass through the village of Addis. :) PM me with your address and I'll send a card out to you. I'd like to get in a little bit of post card swapping before I have my second knee surgery at the end of this month. (Thank goodness I'm not a centipede!)

I just received a pretty card from Grace in Australia.....with doggy footprints on it!

Unfortunately, she is a fairly new correspondent, and I cannot seem to find her address, so if anyone knows "Grace in Oz"...or you are she!! ...please let me know.

The Postmark looks like MILDURA.

I don't wish her to think me rude in not replying.

Thanks.

PS, I remembered her n-d-p, and found her address ..she also sent it to me again!

After running my errands in Baton Rouge yesterday, I stopped by the Old State Capitol museum gift shop and got a good supply of post cards. Pm me if you'd like me to send you one.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
