Hello everyone,

I own a beautiful Waterman 52, and I would like to know its approximate ‘birth’ date, if anyone has an idea.

Many thanks!

I'm no waterman expert so I am likely to be wrong here.

Waterman catalogue 1915 (French) has waterman 52 listed. Although I'm unsure if this is correct.

As I'm not able to read the content of this, I might be mixing up 14 PSF with 54. As far as I can see it has the older imprint.

1918 catalog also show 52 pens, but again might be having the older imprint based on "pocket type" pens shown on it.

1925 catalog shows this imprint

1920 School pamphlet also shows the older imprint

Waterman 1925 catalog page 97 (number 7 nib chart &  ripple pens) have several pens showing the narrow "waterman" marked clip while most other pages show the "clip-cap" clip.

Thank you for all the resources! So, based on the clip mine has, I guess it’s late 20s or early 30s.
