Merz & Krell Pelikan 120

I purchases my Pelikan 120 45 years ago, and have enjoyed using it since then.

About 30 years ago when my son was in the cub scouts and at one of the meetings, a family activity, I lent my Pelikan to the older sister of one of the other cub scouts so she could participate in one of the activities. One of the other cubs' father asked "Is that a Pelikan?" One of the other cubs' head popped up and he cried out "Pelican? Where? Where?"

Anyone else have an anecdote about their Pelikan, any model?

Well, the real reason I wanted to post this is to ask if there are any current Pelikan nibs that can be used with my Merz & Krell Pelikan 120?

The M&K nibs have a different thread from the other Pelikan nib units as you know, so no 'real' Pelikan nibs will fit.  You could knock the M&K nib out of its nib collar and try to put a modern nib into the collar; maybe with the vintage feed or the modern one.

I have found that Regent, Senator and most Reform nibs are the same threads as the M&K, a discovery that makes me think M&K made their pens.

I don't have any info about the nib, but I can visualize the story. Thank you for sharing.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
