Using my Conway Stewart 100 today.  It’s got a wonderful fine nib that is surprisingly firm.

I have one and I believe Parker called it Cream and Black.

I'm sure you're correct. Cracked ice is a term learned from another collector with a soft spot for "cracked ice" FPs and MPs of lesser manufacturers.

How could a Rheingold be anything other than a grail pen? Especially the Nib(elungen). 😉

Today’s pen is the vintage Esterbrook in gray with a 2314-B nib filled with, I think, Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone.

ooo . felt that one @InkyProf

In all seriousness, though, congratulations on finding that. My experience with Soennecken is limited to postwar. The Rheingolds are beautiful!

My very first fountain pen, a 1995 Sonnet Firedance that I bought new to celebrate my first job out of college.

Inked up with Waterman’s Havana, a flexy fine point nib and TR journal paper.

Does it have a cap ring?

Looking to buy a Delta Chatterley Stantuffo Fusion Star Cage.

I think the 911 has two, which would have solved a lot of problems. But also significantly cut into popcorn sales at Bayreuth.

It's actually called Pearl and Black, at least in US marketing.

That is just sooo pretty. Is that "cracked ice"?

It is pretty! I've always seen it referred to as Pearl and Black.

@Russprechtl -- I have a similar pen to that but mine is more of a yellow with black.  Not entirely sure of the size.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

They are beautiful. I'd like to see the yellow one as well. I have both sizes of the fountain pen and the matching ballpoint.

Today it's been two pens:

1) Violet Safari SE, B nib, still with what I think is Lamy Turquoise (bought the bottle along with some other inks at an estate sale a while back; there was no label on it, but the cap appears to be turquoise in color.

2) Blue (Midnight Blue?) Parker 45, F nib, just refilled with vintage Quink Permanent Blue Black.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I decided to make a change. Cleaned and put away the CS Belliver with Tudor Blue ink. and replaced it with the CS Duro (broad nib) and Regency Blue ink.

Having not yet procured tickets for Bayreuth, but several for the Deutsche Oper here in Berlin, I suspect it would be brezel sales, not popcorn in Bayreuth 😉

Today I'm back giving my Scribo Yamanaka Onsen a whirl. It sure guzzles ink like crazy, so it's a good job I've got a 350ml bottle of Pilot Black.

For the morning pages I used one of my Tamenuri Studios (black urushi with striking turqoise stripes applied ala Kulka), ink Diamine Asa Blue.
