So far today it's been the Sheaffer Star Wars Pop "R2-D2" pen, M nib, still with vintage Skrip Permanent Red.  But also need to write some bills to go out in the mail tomorrow, so will maybe pull out the Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, M nib, still with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

A pen with a real nib (i.e. not the hooded nib on my 51), a Pelikan 800.

Mr. Pink is done with his rant on the Parker 51.

Today was the Omas 556/F with Stipula Musk Green, but I’ve barely done any writing today, for the first time in forever.

Today I’m using the Esterbrook LJ in black with Bell System Property and a 2314-M nib filled with De Atramentis Sherlock Holmes ink.

I wish I had more ebonite pens.  There's just such a warmth to the material when holding an ebonite pen that you just don't get with acrylic or other plastics.

Thank you. This is my favorite pen and ink. And the smell of ebonite mixed with the smell of Tamatebako... mmm...
Writing with this set is a kind of ritual for me :)

Today I decided to play with my Graf von Faber Castell Intuition Platino Wood in Pernambuco with a medium nib. Ink is Pelikan's Edelstein Tanzanite.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Ha, and I thought I was the only one who bought one of those!

Love my R2 Astromech pen, usually with Skrip washable blue.

I got to try a variety of pens today at my pen club meeting. There was a variety of Pilot Grance pens with both steel and gold fine nibs, a vintage Pilot Elite full size with an “E” logo and a Posting nib that had a lozenge style breather hole, a vintage Super with another Posting nib, a Pilot Silvern F with a branch (?) pattern, a Sailor 1911 Jellyfish EF, and a number of others. There were some vintage BCHR pens, like a Waterman 52 and an Edison, plus a green Waterman Edson and vintage looking Stipula coin filler which may have been ebonite, but I don’t know- it had a wood grain pattern that was absolutely beautiful.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 20 currently inked pens:

Sheaffer 100 Satin Blue M, Pelikan Moonstone/holographic mica

Brute Force Designs Pequeño Ultraflex EF, Journalize Horsehead Nebula

Pilot Custom 743 <FA>, Oblation Sitka Spruce

Pilot Elite Ciselé <F>, Colorverse Dokdo

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Sounds like you had a good time... 😀👍

What color was the Edson?

What paper are your people using?

I did, thank you! The Edson was green, and funny enough, I was using your pink Cosmo Snow notebook, and there was a Rhodia pad in use as well.

Now that you've had a chance to play with a hard cover notebook, If you were to make a notebook yourself, would you go hard cover, soft cover or something in between?  What would your persona preference be?  Also, what size would you make?  A4, A5, B5 ???
