Conklin 1898, Misto Orange w/ Omniflex nib and Parker Blue ink (not the washable blue.

Just got it from Endless Pens (no affiliation) on their Black Friday Sale.

A grey day is really a silver one that needs Your polish!

Pilot Tsuwario is a nice blue ink on Tomoe River-S but it's worth taking a look at it on Cosmo Snow paper

Today, a vintage pen and… a lighter. Unfortunately, both items are unmarked, suggesting they are French-made. The pen has an 18k Eversharp nib, and the barrel is marked "Double Or." The lighter has a French tax stamp. Both items are small, measuring 9.5 cm in length.

Omas 556/F Extra,  with Stipula Moschiato Verde.

Among the three excellent moderately flexible vintage nibs I'm using these days (this, a late-50s Pelikan OM, and the big Faber-Castell F nib on my 884), this one might just be my favorite. Grounded, responsive, writes beautifully at any speed.

So far today it's been the recently restored Emerald Pearl Vac (not sure of the specific size/model, but think it's a Major), F? nib -- still with Waterman Absolute Brown.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Today’s pen is the Hongdian N8 Maple Leaves that I put a 1.1mm stub nib in. It is filled with De Atramentis Autumn ink. It closes out November.

Last December, I alternated red and green ink. I plan to do that again with green and red ink.

Today, I have been using:

  • A 2013 Parker Urban in 'Chiselled Ebony'; 'M' nib; inked with Diamine 'Chocolate Brown' (nom nom nom!);
  • A 2020 Pelikan M805 in black (not stripy); bi-colour 'F' nib; inked with Pelikan Edelstein 'Mandarin' (also 'nom nom nom!' ;) )

I have now also inked a third pen (!!!).
Which is very rare for me, because I know that I am forgetful, and want to not have any pens dry out while there is ink in them.

The third inked pen is:

  • a black 1960s Parker 'UK Duofold' Junior; with a nib that I think is an 'M'; inked with ESSRI.

† i.e. ESS Registrars' Ink; not LizEF's magical snek.

Waterman Gold Corinth, M stub, also Waterman Mysterious Blue, which from this nib shows a little pink sheen.

Also writing a little with the Omas with Stipula Moschiato Verde and the new Radius Settimo with KWZ Old Gold, two inks I hadn't thought to compare, but which are surprisingly hard to distinguish unless you put down a lot of ink in one place (then it's obvious that the Stipula is greener).
