what’s your thoughts on Writer’s blood?  I am still fairly new to bottled inks and I recently saw this ink and it looks interesting (vs the Oxblood I am also considering).

@B. HoneydewI'm a big fan of Writer's Blood.  I know there are similar shades/colours available, but it's my go to ink when I want an alternative to blues and blacks.  Oxblood is good too, I've a bottle sitting on my desk waiting for my Pelikan M150 to run dry.

So far, it's been the red-orange barrel Sheaffer No Nonsense pen with the floral design on the cap.  Mostly finished the fill of (now-diluted) vintage Skrip Peacock Blue, which will be next on the "pens to flush out" list.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I started off with my last a Pilot Varsity from a mulipack.  I then switched over the the Lamy Studio when I had to write out a multi-page equation.  This Studio is fast becoming my favorite pen.  Today was a big test; it kept up with a fast-paced writing session.

Mostly these Wing Sungs (JunLai, JunL) 630 and 629.  While trying to find an ink for the 629 I discovered that Sailor Ink Studio 743 is very similar to Waterman Blue.large.IMG_7476800B.JPG.4d148ef7359127fcb6806b24535d21dc.JPG

Writing with a blue Kaweco x Moleskine Perkeo with a fine nib and Kaweco Midnight Blue.

That reminded me I have a Kaweco Perkeo All Back with a PO nib (customised by the place in Spain). Popped in a black Herbin Essentials cartridge to play. Lovely pencilly feedback.

Will work for pens...

Today I am working on my grocery list with a blue and gold Wahl-Eversharp Ventura F, inked with Quink Permanent Blue.

@PAKMAN, is the new lapis Duofold desk pen able to write? I would love to see that.

Aagghh. Now I remember why I don't use the Kaweco All Black... it leaks a little. Looking with a magnifying glass I see a tiny tiny hole in the grip section right where it rests on my finger. Like there was a bubble in the plastic. Maybe that's the problem. Can I fill it with something?

I guess I will be writing with it anyway cos I don't want to waste the Herbin Essentials black ink.

Will work for pens...

Funny to post this right after @AmandaW but today’s pen of the day is a Kaweco AL Sport stealth black with M nib, and a cartridge of Faber-Castell Violet Blue ink. I call it stealth black because I put a black clip on it. I like a stealth black pen.

Maybe a drop of super glue?  I hope others will chime in because I’m just spitballing here.

DH worked on it. Opened up the hole and scuffed the surface before filling it with JBWeld for plastics (I think). It will take 15 - 24 hours to cure. And turn dark grey. Not black, but really it's so small and on the underside of the grip. Who cares. And if it doesn't work I will order another Perkeo All Black and transplant the custom nib. It will be fixed one way or another. (And... I could use the spare cap and barrel for one of the Perkeo calligraphy nibs!)

In the meantime, I moved the cartridge of black Herbin Essentials to a Kaweco Dia2. All good.

Like you, I'm having a Kaweco day.

Will work for pens...

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
