What pen(s) are you using today?

@Cjtamu Not familiar with that model, but yours sure is pretty!

I'm now wondering how it compares size-wise to the Sailor pens I do have (a Pro-Gear Slim and a couple of 1911S pens; also had a Lecoule at one point, but it's apparently gone missing...).

After a day of not even touching a single pen due to illness, I'm glad to be back laying ink on the page today with my Montblanc Origin Classique, F, inked with Herbin Ambre de Birmanie, and Parker 51 EF inked with Parker Black.

Only a Waterman 12 is more basic.  In these times of C/C fillers I admire your using a lever filler.  Maybe even a bit of flex?

Thanks! I keep meaning to use my 12. I bought it for the flex stub nib. The EF 52 is also wonderfully flexy.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 30 currently inked pens:

Parker Duofold Centennial IM, RO Rose Gold Antiqua

Parker Duofold Lady needlepoint, MB Cool Grey

Pelikan M800 needlepoint, Kuretake Shikon

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

Waterman 52 EF, Herbin Bleu Pervenche

Here you go. 1911L on the left, Magellan in the middle, 1911S on the right. The Magellan is slightly longer and slimmer than the 1911S but nib size is very similar and maybe exactly the same. Magellan in use again today.

Above is hopefully a help @inkstainedruth. The nibs are wonderful, softer than the current 14K. And @Scribs I’m glad you’re feeling better. We had some of that going on around here last week, no fun. I’m going to have to ask you folks with the Onotos to stop. Please 😉

How did you like the Lecoule?  Did it have the same type of feedback?  I have a Pro Gear 21k M and the feedback isn’t as aggressive as I hoped.

I have one of those. The narrower italic nibs are particularly nice, in my opinion.

I bought 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1.1mm nibs back when there was a Nemosine. I failed in buying inks though. I got samples, but didn’t try them soon enough. I liked so many of their inks, but only have Alpha Centauri. I check Birmingham Pens every so often for Nemosine nibs. I have, I think, seven Singularity pens, and one each of the Neutrino and Fission pens. I loved the Nemosine space and science themes.

I think it’s a pity Birmingham doesn’t have a $30 pen.

Honestly, I don't remember.  And then lost it....

So far today it's been the red Diplomat Magnum, M nib, just refilled with Platinum Classic Forest Black (an IG ink); and the Violet Safari, B nib, still with Lamy Turquoise.

ETA: Someone at my pen club meeting earlier this evening had some new inks and I snagged a sample of vial of Van Dieman Mid-Atlantic Blue to put in the recently acquired Levenger True Writer, M? nib (which I didn't yet get a chance to take photos of, to try to ID the specific color).

Pelikan 400, green striped, KEF nib, Akkerman Ruisdael's Stormachtig Blauw;

Desiderata Chiaroscuro, F, Lamy Turquoise.

(And don't tell @Cjtamu but I might also have used my blue pearl O**** M**** this morning.)

Good choice of ink. That is one of my favourites.

Today in terms of ink has been a MontBlanc day.

Diplomat viper Guilloche in blue (Modena Red ink)

Visconti Mirage Amber (Irish Green ink)

Mark from the Latin Marcus follower of mars, the god of war.

Yorkshire Born, Yorkshire Bred.

my current favourite author is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Totally agree with that sentiment. A nice range of nibs, simple, well made, dependable and reasonable cost.

It doesn't have to be or look fancy. I am still using the Osmiroid w/ fine italic today.

Today’s pen is the Nemosine Singularity demonstrator with rose gold accents, a 1.1mm stub nib, filled with De Atramentis Alexander Hamilton (aka Aubergine) ink.

Thanks @Misfit and @Cjtamu for the well wishes, we seem to have been hit by a wave of flu over here. It's not much fun, so I continue to take it easy, but have managed a little fountain pen therapy with this time my red Namiki Emperor, FM, inked with Pilot Blue-Black, and I'm working on emptying the black cartridge in my Parker 51. The contrast in size of these two pens is best bridged by a nap . . .

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
