She is in fact 'Queen Consort' and not 'Queen'.  I believe I am correct in believing that her warrant would be listed officially as to 'Queen Consort'.

Her warrants are officially being issued "by appointment to HM the Queen."

Today’s pen is the Edison Beaumont in Molten Ores with 1.1mm italic nib filled with De Atramentis Silver Gray. I cleaned it, and got it filled last night.

Love my Edison Beaumont (Bedrock). Was a gift from my kids.

Last night I started cataloguing pens, something I’ve been threatening to do for awhile. One, I have too many pens inked, partly as a result of late 2025 into oh, yesterday buying spree. So, need to see which ones are ready to clean whilst I whittle down to a more usable number. Two, I have some pens in need of minor repair and I need a list so I remember to do or have done. Three, in the hopefully distant future, someone will need this info because when I’m done with them I want them going to good homes! Been a lot of fun writing with each and putting down when and where I purchased and pertinent details about each pen. From last night to tonight I’ve used: 1. Modern MB 144 with medium nib; 2. Tokyo made 1972 Pilot Elite with 18K soft fine; 3. Sailor Pro Gear black and rhodium with 21K rhodium plated nib; 4. French made blue lacquer 1950’s Waterman CF with blue lacquer cap instead of metal and 18K medium nib; 5. Taccia Snowy Dreams LE with 18K medium; 6. Black and gold Parker Duofold Centennial Mk 1 with 18K #82 fine nib; 7. Laban faceted mother of pearl flat top with 18K bi-color broad nib. Huge pen, dwarfs my M1000. Little shorter capped than 1911 KOP, but bigger barrel diameter; 8. Pelikan M400 white tortoise with 2 chicks cap and medium 2 chicks nib; 9. Burgundy Pilot E95S with fine nib that was the daily driver today; 10. Orange Diplomat Aero with stainless EF nib; 11. Grey Anthracite Kaweco Sport Al with fine stainless nib; 12. Black and gold Kaweco Sport piston filler with fine stainless nib; 13. Danitrio Takumi maki-e calla lily urushi and raden with 18K medium; 14. MB Traveler with medium nib.

A few more inked up that I hope to get through tomorrow. Clean the ones that are nearly dry then try to write the ink out of the rest so I can fill some more and start Round 2!

Visconti Homo Sapiens Traveler F, inked with Diamine Pansy

Today's pens have been;

At the office again today. Only have one green pen and it’s not inked, but the Danitrio has some green in it and the ku-jaku is a nice greenish-blue. Not Irish but one does what one can with the tools available! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.

So far today it's been the Ciselé 75, F nib, refilled with Waterman Tender Purple.  But later I need to get some checks in the mail, so it will be something with a more permanent ink in it....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Today, finished off and cleaned out a MB 149 (1976-82) EF with MB Toffee Brown, and have now moved on to a MB 146 (early 80s) M with MB Midnight Blue (non-IG), which is also nearing the end of its fill.

If I need anything finer today, I'll use a wine-red Platinum President UEF with Iroshizuku Kon-Peki, just to keep things cigar-shaped (or ogival or "balance" or whatever).

In honor of the day, I'll be using this beauty from 1935.  I just replaced the sac last week so it's ready to roll for its 91st year.

Marine Green celluloid is truly striking in its depth and shimmer.  Yes there's some brassing, but the clip has snap, the barrel is clean and the F nib is perfect.  W.A. Shannon (monogram) would be proud and amazed that his/her pen is still writing letters in the 21st century.

Ink will be Parker blue black with solv-x, because he deserves it.

I have been using a beautiful blue Lorelai 691 with a really fun flex nib. It has been tricky to find the right ink for it.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 30 currently inked pens:

Sheaffer 100 Satin Blue M, Pelikan Moonstone/holographic mica

Parker T1, Dominant Industry Dominant Blue

MontBlanc 1441 F, Monteverde Brown Sugar

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

Waterman 52 EF, Herbin Bleu Pervenche

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Decided to have some fun and pulled a Leprechaun-sized pen off of the stack of unused pens that are still in the box. Inked it up with Diamine Appletini for some green in the day. Benu Pixie in Aqua Glow.

Thank you. Some nice pens in use here today. @Amberjackthe Sheaffer is beautiful. And I’m in agreement on the nibs.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
