@Stompie That's impressively tidy handwriting you've got there!

Kaweco Al Piston, Navy, with EF nib, still inked with Rober Oster Detox

Call me a sucker for blood, or bloodsucker for short! :P

Ha! Do you have Diamine Writer’s Blood (ink)?

My pen of the day is the Jinhao 82 Peacock with sparkles,  M nib, filled with Diamine Aurora Borealis ink.

Today it's been three pens:

1) Midnight Blue Parker 45, with a newly swapped in stainless steel nib (F, I think) replacing the mangled 14K nib --  turned out that some of the tipping had gotten broken off in the process.  The sad part is that the steel nib cost way more than I think I paid for the pen to begin with (but still way less than a gold one would have been)  Finishing a fill of  IIRC vintage Quink Permanent Blue Black (possibly with a little Waterman Serenity Blue mixed in, mostly by accident.

2) Dusty Rose Laidtone Parker Duofold, F nib -- still with Waterman Serenity Blue.

3) Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, M nib -- still with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

My main pen today is a TWSBI Eco Lilac EF filled with De Atramentis Aubergine. It ran low, but instead of cleaning and choosing another ink, I decided I like the pairing so much I would just to top it up. That's saying something cos a fill in an EF Eco is a long term commitment... 💜

Will work for pens...

I’m using a pen with that ink today. Had to refill it. I have Writer’s Blood in 30ml, and Oxblood in cartridges. I think it is worth getting in 30ml someday.

I’ve been really enjoying a Curzon “The Pinnacle” with an oblique medium stub. It’s a lovely pen, with an interesting clip and gorgeous green celluloid. It’s inked with Waterman Serenity Blue for this round.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 31 currently inked pens:

Parker Duofold Centennial IM, RO Rose Gold Antiqua

MontBlanc Bohème Noir F, MB Midnight Blue

Pelikan M800 needlepoint, Kuretake Shikon

MontBlanc for BMW IM, MB Green with SC-15

Wahl-Eversharp Bantam F, FC Lapis Lazuli

  • Pilot Custom Grandee (14k Music) - Montblanc Swan Illusion Plume. Such an elegant ink color with lovely shading. The Music nib shows this ink really well.
  • Sailor/DAKS cylindrical, metal bodied pen (14k F - same nib as a 1911S) - Sailor Jentle Blue Black cartridge. This is, for me, the archetype 'blue black' ink color. Unfortunately, its lubrication hides the Sailor nib feedback.
  • Pineider Egosphere (18k F) - Herbin Vert Empire.
  • ST Dupont Fidelio (14K Fh, whatever that means?) - L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio Ultramarine.

This morning, I used up the last of the black inks in my Bayard mottled red hard rubber pen and Esterbrook "Skunk," cleaned them out (along with a couple of other pens that were on their dregs), and now, at the library, have finished a fill of Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo in a Pilot 74 <SF>, which leaves me with a Lamy p26 with a mystery blue-black cartridge and an Asvine J16 ebonite with an <EEF> nib filled with Callifolio Grenat -- the latter of which writes with such a fine line that it should last approximately forever.

A Lamy Aion that's nearly out of ink. Fortunately, I have my MB149 as a back-up.

I''M using a Fabrisno Ispira - the 85 gam pPet is very good.

Today it's the regular Lamy 2000, EF, still inked with Edelstein Moonstone, and a Montblanc 149, EF supposedly 'pink' gold (but to my eyes it might as well be called regular gold, can't even see a light blush of pink), inked with Montblanc Mystery Black. I might also end up reaching for the TWSBI Obsidian later, EF, still inked with Montblanc Winter Glow.

Sailor Imperial Black and the Onoto 6233 for the third day straight.   I swapped the nib last week and suddenly it’s one of my favorites.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
