So far today it's been the Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, N nib, still with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

Parker 61 Flighter in the morning, and then I went to the library and found that my pen case didn’t have a FP in it, argh! So I’m using a Retro 51 <whisper>rollerball</whisper>

@lionelcThyanks for sharing the photo, it's a beautiful pen!

What's an "N" nib?

Not familiar with that designation.

A grey day is really a silver one that needs Your polish!

hi again @The Mustard, it is indeed raden as ascertained by some of my more art orientated friends with a stereo microscope.  it has been put on an 80s mb 149 from a japanese seller - this has been assessed as an authentic pen by montblanc in sydney but the artist remains elusive.  there is a shu urushi signature on the section but we cannot determine the artist's identity to date.  the raden stripes are cut precisely from a single sheet, the inlay looks professionally done even at the curvatures but to get more information - it would involve a bit of destruction to get a small chip off the material.  i baulked at that last bit.  all's well here, have reached a bit of a plateau in my pen collecting though.

Sigh.  It's a typo.  The pen has an M nib....  Thanks for catching that.

It's been a crazy couple of days, and it didn't help that I was late to the allergist's office this afternoon to get the bi-weekly shots.  Called them to say I was running late and estimated my ETA to be about half an hour.  Got there about 20 of 2 (the appointment was for 1:30 PM).  And even though there was almost no-one else in the waiting room, I still wasn't taken back to an exam room to get the shots until after 2 PM.  Then of course had to wait 20 minutes to make sure there wasn't any sort of bad reaction to the shots.  From there I had to go to a place that has recycling bins (I meant to got there last week because it's close to where the monthly pen club meeting is, but I was running late to that as well).  Then hit HORRIBLE traffic most of the way home, and had to sweat out what roads in my neighborhood are currently torn up (the street I live off of, the main street through town between the junction of the first street and the city line, and then, on the other side of the bridge, it was down to one lane alternating traffic.  So took a different route home, and stopping at the grocery store down the hill on the way home (just across the city line from the street I live off of) -- only to find that the ALTERNATE route is *also* torn up....:gaah:  Yes.  All at the same time....

'Welcome to P'gh'! :rolleyes:
As a wise lady once informed me, the route that you will need to take in order to get back home is... under construction ;)

Joking aside, the infuriating practice of simultaneous obstruction of all of the major routes in any one town has, nowadays, become common in this septic isle :angry:

Anyway, today I have been using:

  • a Sheaffer Imperial in Sterling silver; 'F' nib; filled with Parker Quink 'Blue';
  • a Sheaffer Triumph 444; 'F' nib; filled with Rohrer & Klinger 'Sepia';
  • a Lamy Safari in 'Petrol'; 'F' nib; fitted with a T10 cartridge of Lamy 'Turquoise'.

Ah, yes. We've all been there 😔

May you soon find the nerve to screw your courage up to the sticking-place, and work your way (easily and rapidly) through said pile!

Well played sir!  Except that I was quoting the old WQED sign-off at the end of the night and it was THEIR description.  And I technically *don't* live in Pittsburgh -- although our house is up the hill and about a quarter mile from the city line....

Why not an S.T. Dupont Olympio <M> for today?

large.33815.jpg.745b0ded04005de454a51241f765b093.jpg

...because S.T. Dupont black ink runs out and I can't find any (except for cartridges, but those are also scarce). I love S.T. Dupont black ink. I wish I knew who made it for them in the first place.

(paper is Graphilo)
