No kidding. I got the rollerball, not realizing it wasn't supposed to post, but quickly learned why: if the cap flies off the back of that thing it could be a serious danger to person and property.

I got one of these at the discounted price too, pulled the nib, and put it in a standard Jowo #6 housing/feed. Works fine. The nib isn't any great shakes, but for $5.74? Sure!

Yes. The standard JoWo #6 nibs work. Either listed as for Monteverde or Conklin. Both work.

The JoWo Omniflex is actually not horrible. I found that a bit of breaking in, and actually changing my angle of attack a bit, makes a lot of difference.

Fortunately, I have a line on getting the nibs at a substantially lower cost than Amazon.

You mean as pulling the nib, since the feed/housing that comes with the4 Omniflex will not work with my other JW pens as a screw in.

To my knowledge they will fit both Monteverde and Conklin.

Today it's been the "replacement" ebonite Methulah's Pine Cone Ripple Noodler's Konrad, now inked up with Noodler's Prairie Flax (both being purchases last weekend at B/W....

I had dismantled the one I had, but then seemed to have lost some of the parts.  So when I saw the new-to-me one on someone's table, and for $15 US?  Oh yeah....  Glommed onto it ASAP.

I wish Noodler's would come out with more ebonite pens.  There's a warmth to the material in your hand that you just don't get with acrylic....

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

ETA:  Of course, less than an hour after I posted this, the pen decided it didn't like being upside down or else it burped with the possible change of air pressure, and I now have Prairie Flax all over my fingers.... :headsmack:  Got some of it off, but not all of it....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Not me!

A long-term associate of mine who was a clinical psychologist once told me that he believed I was completely sane. In the next breath he added 'or insane'.

He then told me that he wasn't sure which it was.

The definition of "insanity", supposedly, is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If that's true, why the heck do I keep getting up every morning? I could just stay in bed and be different, or, would that make me sane? 🤔
