Lamy Lady replacement Nib.

I've acquired a Lamy Lady and although it does write, it has a kink/bend in the nib.  Unfortunately I didn't spot this until after I had received the item I had won on the online auction site.  To be fair the damage was shown in the pictures so I accept that the item was as described.

However I wondered whether it is possible to get a replacement nib section.  I someone had a damaged pen e.g the barrel has been badly damaged I would happily buy the pen for the nib section or even just the nib, provided these can be swapped.

Best regards,

Julian

As far as I am aware, all Lamy nibs are interchangeable with the only exception being the hooded Lamy 2000 nib.  It is possible that there are other exceptions of which I am not aware.

Replacement Lamy nibs are easy to come by.

Unfortunately, the Lamy Lady appears (based on a quick internet search) to have its own, uniquely designed nib - you can't just swap in one of their regular nibs 😞.

I have no wisdom to offer beyond that - wish you well, @bonnie-scott, in your search for a replacement! [Unless you think a nib technician might be able to burnish out the kink?]

Hi thanks for the response.  The Lamy Lady has a different nib design to the Z52 (and equivalents).  A bit more digging suggests that the Lamy Persona may use the same nib, unfortunately both the Lady and the Persona ceased production some time ago.  I have found one NOS Persona nib, but at over 160 Euros that a bit 'ouch'.

But in the pen collecting hobby patience they say is a virtue, so it may just be a case of looking out for one at a reasonable price 🙂

regards,

Julian

Thanks Jamerelbe 🙂

turns out we were typing around the same time but my single digit typing capability means I came a distinct second to your post 🤣 I do know of a nibmeister who I found through here so that is another option. 👍

cheers,

Julian

I have a Lamy Lady and they replaced for free, a lost anti roll ball in the pen cap. Lamy told me they are very short on spares for this pen. Unfortunately, no more nibs.

Several  years ago,  I bought a Persona. The nib  was  broken. I sent it to Lamy Germany, and not only did they replace the nib, but did it for free...

160€ for a Lamy Lady /Lamy Persona nib doesn't seem too much to me, considering that a regular Lamy gold nib already costs 100€ MSRP (well, the online price is often more around 70€).

You will be forgiven that you cannot, but never more that you do not want to.
