I have a Delta pen that uses a screw in converter.

Where can I get a replacement ?

I doubt that you strictly need to use a screw-in converter for the pen to work. The Tibaldi pen I have on hand uses a screw-in (but nevertheless ‘international standard’, when it comes to the bore of the mouth on the) converter, but I've been testing the pen with a non-threaded ‘international standard’ converter already filled with ink from another pen, and it worked just fine.

Any other alternative brands of converter  ?

At a guess, after having eyeballed them in the past, I'd say Tibaldi and Leonardo Officina Italiana both use the same type and specification of ‘international standard’ converters that have external threads to secure them to the gripping section.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Delta pens take an International standard size cartridge or push in converter and most converters that are made for European pens are made and rebranded by Schmidt. Any European International standard sized push in converter should fit your Delta pen.

Threaded converters don't all have the same screw threads so you would need to be more careful about getting the right sized threaded converter. I have a Delta threaded converter and a Schmidt threaded converter. The Schmidt threaded converter doesn't fit into my Delta pen. It has different threads to my Delta converter and won't go into the section. Don't waste too much money trying to find a threaded one unless you are certain it will fit.

But someone advised me that Montegrappa converters are rebranded Schmidt.

Probably

Add lightness and simplicate.

We don't know which Delta pen @jskywalker has.

I doubt that different models of Delta cartridge/converter-filled pens use different models (or specifications) of converters.

They do. Not all need threaded converters.

OK, I'll take your word for it.

It's a Schmidt K-6 converter.  The K-6 is the international size threaded; a K-5 with threads added.  A k-5 fits just fine.

These are inexpensive and widely available.

Good luck,

Craig

I can confirm 100% that the Schmidt K6 does not fit into my Delta pen.

I learned something new; what model doesn't use this size?

I edited and added the model. :) The K-5 might fit but the K-6 threads don't match Delta threads. I think it's only the thinner pens. Several years ago I measured my Delta converter and compared it with my Schmidt - completely different sizes. It's a real PITA that the Schmidt threaded doesn't fit because it means I can never get a new threaded converter. Depending on OP's model it might fit his pen. 🤷‍♂️

Leonardo's converters should fit.

What Delta pen is it?

I own a number of Delta pens... and a few Leonardo,

If you tell us the pen I might be actually able to check... unless it's a special edition (I don't own many of those...)

My pen is delta dolcevita soiree.

I have a Soiree Medium also (18K #6 nib model). Leonardo and Visconti screw in converters will screw in but the metal turning knobs on those make them too long and prevents the barrel from screwing in completely. A Schmidt K6 screws in and allows the barrel to screw completely down without issue.

I couldn't find it locally...

Guess it depends upon where ones "local" is.

Add lightness and simplicate.
