:) Thanks for another flurry of reviews!  In my experience, De Atramentis tend to be wet and well-lubricated.  And yeah, shimmer requires constant re-agitation.

This is one of my favourites of the DA shimmers - though they seem to have recently released a whole load more that I haven't even tried - I still have very mixed feelings about shimmer inks - I often quite like the end results, but find all the faffing around to get it even a bit tiresome.

Really enjoying the flex pen reviews :)

Ahhhh....kewl, I did not know that. This is the first De Atramentis ink I've ever tried. The smell was very "Chemical" when I opened the sample vial.
The shimmer in this ink kinda dumped out in the first half of the review...and it looks more bronze/rusty on my screen...on the paper it's a heavy gold color though. 🤷‍♂️

This sample had soooo much shimmer to it, I was shocked!
However, it inspired me to load up "Vert Atlantide" in the pen for today at work.
:D

Great job, Detman. I'm off shimmer ink bandwagon thankfully... :)

When I first read the title, I thought holy smokes, some one is doing a Star Trek ink.

Then I realized it's heliogen and not Hirogen:D

Hehehe...that's funny. 😆 I'm more of a Star Wars fan.

I like shimmer...but I don't like shimmer. I never can tell when it's going to dump out the pen when writing.
Like with my current fill of "Vert Atlantide". I decided to take a pull after shaking it up, and I can see the shimmer in the reservoir when I pick the pen up in the mornings.
Yesterday, at work in a meeting...the shimmer was FLOWING and the Dell rep that was seated next to me commented on my ink and asked me how I did that.
After the meeting I explained to him how shimmer inks work and of course, fountain pens...and MY fountain pen...and calligraphy....and...you know the rest lol.
So after explaining to him that the shimmer doesn't ALWAYS flow that heavily in every pen...he still had high interest in fountain pens AND shimmer inks!
Who am I to dissuade a potential addict...
I gave him links, stats and everything to build his own setup to match my ink and pen (non-flex ver) and enjoy the world of "Vert Atlantide" for himself.

:D
