This is another ink, like Cacao du Bresil or Lamy Coral, that straddle two colors - green/brown, grey/brown, pink/orange.

Your example here, at least on my monitor, seems to tack more to the brown whereas mine seems greener.

A great color and very well-behaved.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Indeed! When I washed the remains of this sampling out of my pen, it was greenish-yellow. Very murky in the sink, but on paper...beautiful!

It's labelled as Stipula Calamo Verde Muschiato/Musk Green on my box with an ink blot on the bottle and it's greener than the image here shows. On the other hand we don't know what the paper is. It's one of my favourite murky greens. The Calamo series also includes a Sepia and that's their brown.

I prefer the Stipula Calamo greys. But I reckon this is one of their most popular colors.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Ditto. Plus: an often used and well-earned (but positive) adjective here is  "a muddy green"....

The cognscenti prefer the adjective "murky" 😁

Add lightness and simplicate.

Absolutely true! IIRC I was one of the first to add an example there -- as a matter of fact exactly this  ink was my suggestion!

I agree on all the points stated, this is indeed the definition of "Murky" and it does what it does VERY WELL! :)

This was the first fill for my Omas Burkina Ogiva in 2015 & because it was such a perfect match for the pen's stub nib,  I have never seen any reason to use any other ink in the pen.

I also have an Omas Extra Saft Green & other murky greens have been used in this pen so I have had another pen to enjoy for one of my favorite ink colors.  But even among the many Sailor "murky" green/ brown inks I think this may be my favorite.
