Kia Ora from Wellington, New Zealand!

Greetings fellow writing device nerds!

First things first. If you're not familiar- "Kia Ora" translates roughly to "stay healthy" and is a casual greeting in New Zealand from one of our two official national languages- Te Reo Maori (The language of Maori).

I'm not sure I'm willing to write out every pen and ink I own here, so I'll  attach some photos and mention some favorites from within my current collection.

First pen- TWSBI ALR580

Carry pen- Kaweco Sport brass w

Favorite modern nibs to write with- Franklin Cristoph SIG, Penlux stub, Esterbrook Journalers, Cross 125 (by Sailor)

Favorite vintage nibs to write with- Waterman's Ideal 2A, Sheaffer 5-30 (On the Balance Lifetime), Eversharp Skyline.
Favorite vintage designs- Sheaffer Snorkel, Parker 50
Favorite vintage body material/ color - It's too hard to choose, all of them celluloid or casein.
Silliest pen- Taccia Covenant (It's still a lovely pen though).

Favorite shading ink- Noodlers Apache sunset or Sailor Manyo Nekoyanagi
Favorite shimmer ink- Jacques Herbin- Cornaline d'Egypte
Favorite sheening ink- This is really hard. Vinta Makopa or Sandugo? Krishna Volcano II? Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji?
Favorite Paper- Tomoe River

I'm scared of Noodlers Baystate Grape. Only bleach on a full disassemble got rid of it after fully blocking a feed/collector after a week. Didn't even dry out!

Other things I collect-  Monofloral honey, oriental teas, plants, fine spirits.

xoxo Omninerd

I have to agree. I've been admiring your beautiful setting.

Kia Ora. Welcome from Riwaka, near the Abel Tasman National Park. Thank you for the great introduction message.

Love chatting about pens also.
