Discoloration on Clip

Looking for advice on how to deal with the spots on my Ohashido-Do clip, which I’m guessing is gold-filled or gold-plated.  I tried contacting Ohashido-Do in Japan hoping to get a replacement, but never got a response (they are very hard to reach).  So, my questions are: (1) does anyone know if the discoloration can be reversed or otherwise removed, and (2) if not, who does re-plating on clips (I’m not interested in trying this on my own)?

Yes it looks as if the gold plating is wearing off. A gentle rub with a sunshine (jewelers) cloth will make it look much better but will have to be repeated periodically. You may want to talk to Ron Zorn and see if he is doing re-plating of clips.
