Pen Chalet Contact?

Recommended Posts

I have a number of issues with Pen Chalet and I have tried to contact them through their phone number and through their email listed on their webpage for about two weeks now.  Nobody ever answers the phone and I have not gotten responses to various emails.

Does anybody have an idea how I can contact them otherwise?  I understand that because of the pandemic they might not be as responsive as before, but they still are in business and I have received various pens from them a short while ago.  There must be a way to get their attention.

Your help would be appreciated.

I have contacted them twice through their contact form on their website (See the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the home page). They got back to me within 24h.

I have tried that three times now and it hasn't worked...I'm a bit frustrated.

Was it recently?

I have communicated with PenChalet multiple times within the last week...

using:  customercare@penchalet.com

Jen usually responds within  a few hours

Try to copy and paste the email address just in case something is off. I communicate with Ron via email fairly often, to request special orders, and have never had a problem. I guess it’s possible your emails are automatically going into their junk file for some reason. Can you DM via their Instagram account, or write a short note/postcard and mail it to them? Address it to Ron, or try this email: ron@penchalet.com

best of luck.

Thanks, all - I will try all of these methods.  Never had any luck with the phone and I've tried during business hours about six times.  But the direct emails sound like they will work.

I just called again on the phone and no dice.  I emailed Ron and will let you know if I get through.  I hope so!

Again, thanks!

I'm happy to report that the email link to Ron worked.  He responded within about an hour and has promised to take care of all of my issues.

Glad I was able to get through - thanks to you!

  • 1 month later...

I recently ordered a pen and a bottle of ink from them. It took five days for them to ship, two days for the order to reach me. When the stuff arrived, the ink was the wrong color and the pen the wrong nib size (the second time this has happened when ordering from the company).

I immediately emailed them--this was Thursday, April 8--but received no response. This morning, Saturday April 10, I tried again using the contact form and received a reply a few hours later.

Apparently the company is having trouble correctly filling orders. I got a promise that this will be corrected sometime in the future. They also offered me credit toward a future purchase.

It doesn't matter, as I am not going to be patronizing them for a long, long time. I've had issues for a while with being forced to buy almost everything online. This experience only exacerbates my negative attitude toward online shopping.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
