New Camlin Royal Blue formulation?

@Dip n Scratch - yup,out of wet mediums and fine nibs newer camlin royal blue comes out really good, especially with an ebonite feed with good flow. But ink still lacks lubrication,so i would not recommend using it with EF and EEF nibs.I tried it with my EF and EEF nibs and they felt really feedbacky\scratchy,though the flow of the ink was still really good for such fine pointed nibs.

Chelpark inks have not been in production for many years now.Sulekha inks,an older brand of indian inks has just been resurrected because of customer demand.Hopefully chelpark would do the same too.

I am surprised that kanwrite nib fit in a jowo feed, kanwrite nibs and jowo nibs are very different at the waist, which i assumed would make it hard for them to be used interchangeably in each others units.

I mentioned Chelpark because it was supposed to be a clone of the old Parker formula with the Solv-X.

I never used any, so I am not qualified to say whether it was a better blue than Camlin.

@Dip n Scratch - Chelpark wasn't a clone, they had an agreement and partnership with Parker back then.I do remember using chelpark inks but i was in 5th or 6th class.

About parker quink ink now....I have had some interesting observations.Recently I got hold of some Bril royal blue ink and parker quink blue ink. Both of them shipped from their manufacturing units and ordered via their own websites.I am 99.99% sure that both the inks are one and the same.Bril costs 25 Rupees for 60ml and Parker quink costs 160 Rupees for 60ml in India.Parker ,I think,is just rebranding the Bril ink and selling it at a higher price. Both smelled the same, looked the same, behaved the same....they were the same ink.I won't actually be surprised if my hypothesis comes out to be actually  true, given the fact that Parker India(Luxor) is such a fraud company,as many Indians would know.Their products are so bad and they are ridiculously overpriced too.

Update:

After using the new batch of Camlin Royal blue ink for a couple of weeks my observation of the said ink is that even though it's quite wet and watery and very free flowing,it skips a lot. It skips to such an extent that it makes the exercise of writing devoid of any joy and leads only to frustration. I observed this in multiple fine and medium nibs of mine. And if the writing surface is anywhere being smooth\coated....the nib skips even more. I am assuming that this just didn't happen to me only. Anybody else noticed this behaviour from this ink?

Is this apply to their black inks as well.

@vijaych - that is my Assumption yes. But regardless ....Bril inks are amazing non permanent inks, especially the blue and the black one. Both of them perform good and work much better than other inks on cheap paper.

Someone recently gave me a bottle of Camlin Royal Blue. It's much darker than the usual royal blue color, a rather rich dark blue, which I like. It's also one of the wettest inks I've tried recently, and even in a Conklin Duragraph with Omniflex nib, it flows wet and consistently even after being capped for a couple of weeks. I think if you are looking for a wet ink, this one may be for you. 🙂

Here's a sample on TR paper in an old Hobonichi.
