Ground a few nibs...yay!!!

Over the years, I've tried nib grinding and have destroyed quite a few of them in the process.

 But I've also gotten better  

 

Definitely not pro-level, but here are a few of my grinds. Writing samples to follow soon. I used a whetstone, and sandpaper to grind these. 

 

1) Architect on Kanwrite Medium nib:

 

 

 

2) Needlepoint on a Wingsung 727

 

 

3) Stub on a Kanwrite broad

Thank you! The first and only article I read about nib grinding was this http://www.marcuslink.com/pens/aboutpens/ludwig-tan.html .

Apart from that, I mostly learned through trial and error, trying to emmulate the shapes of grinds I see in nib macro shots all over the internet

Those are really nice! Were any manufacturer's easier or more difficult to grind, or was it pretty similar?

I read in a previous post of yours that you're in the UAE and was thinking of opening a nib grinding service

I would love to send in a  pen to get a needlepoint grind if you're still up to it!

I did not find any difference but most of the nibs I ground were Kanwrite. I do find that some nibs are more difficult to smooth out the tipping on.
