Not wrong. That was not a critisism of taste though. More medical, I guess. 😉

I was so delighted when Lamy made the Dark Lilac and the Violet Safari.

When the Dark Lilac came out, I knew that if I was going to get a Safari that would be the one I'd want (I had considered getting a pink one, but when I saw it in person found I really didn't care for the color).

When the Candy colors came out, I worried that the Violet would be too close to the Dark Lilac, but it it's enough different in shade (being more blue toned than the Dark Lilac) that I'm happy to have both.

But I still wish they'd reissue the French Blue, instead of yet another green one....

Does anyone have an idea, whether Lamy will launch any special edition inks too? I would see the Terracotta and the Savannah quite potential colors for the matching inks.

Well, I heard that this year they announce the two colours as soon they will stop the production of safari series and have a new line instead. Just now saw from Lamy China, they gonna have another white safari? Maybe with rough surface??? Not so sure, but they do post a 3 new safari pen pic on weibo

 If that is the deal...

 This is killing me.

 I need them ALL!

 😃

(I'm not a Safari person but these colors are getting the best of me!)

It looks like Endlesspens is out of stock as well.

However, I do not see Alpine White on any website.

🧐🤔Huh? no more Safari?!  I guess I can see the dated look but I feel sorry for the new line trying to fill in classic shoes of Safari design. Thank you for the tip and photo 😀❤️ I wish I had not seen the 1980 original collector's vintage, now I think I really am going to break the no new pens guidance I set for myself, and enter the 2021 Safari Green reality distortion field  😅

I want both colors! Those are just neat!

...they would also make for the first ever Safaris for me. :D

Enjoy! Safaris are among the least expensive pens that I own, but they make me smile every time I pick one up. The colors are often fun. As far as I am concerned, Safaris look good, don't complain, and generally just do their jobs.

I just saw that Goulet Pens will be selling the Lamy Safari in Terra Cotta and Savannah in February. Since I missed them last time, I'm looking forward to adding at least the Savannah to my collection.

I spoke with a Lamy Retailer, and they stated that they were told there will NOT be any special edition ink colors as in some prior years....

Thanks Bill. Opens up the opportunity to have fun pairing various inks.
Maybe full circle photos too. Though Christof’s creative shots set a high bar.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
