  That hasn't been my experience.

Maybe not on Rhodia, but on some cheap copy papers it does feather somewhat, even in a Japanese F.  A bit of an unfair comparison really, as I'm comparing it to a far drier Montblanc ink, which resists feathering and bleedthrough very well.

Really!?  Never had a cartridge come with a Pilot pen?

You'd think. Nope. Always black. 🤷‍♂️

Check out the "absorbent paper" photo from the first post - even there, it's really just wooly, with a couple feathers, and that paper is basically newsprint.  On copy paper, I never saw it feather (used it at work sometimes).  Anywho, this is why we gather lots of experiences, so we can evaluate the range and know the risks. :)

Huh.  Of course, I think I only got blue once or twice (I have a lot of Pilot pens).  As you say, they mostly include black.

This was one of my first blue inks, and I still really like it. The color is a little dull, but that's fine with me sometimes. For the type of work and writing that I do, I often need water resistant inks, and though Baystate Blue is still my favorite when I want a bit more pop in the color, this one still gets a spot in my rotation. And I think it cost $6 for the cool squished globe bottle, which I also love.

It is a great ink.  Color is the only thing about it that I don't especially like.

Here's the line width measurement. The line is one of those used for dry time.  Magnification is 100x.  The grid is 100x100µm.  The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each.  The line width for this ink is roughly 295µm.
