Namiki Nippon Art Series (A.k.a #10 Maki-E)

Two hooefully easy questions about the entry level Namiki Nippon Art pens:

1. Is the section urushi coated or merely plastic?

2. I'm interested in urushi partly for the tactile feel. Will a maki-e pen give the same feel as a straight urushi pen, or is does the decoration make a difference in the hand?

In general, you would get the same feel. I own the Nippon Art Mt.Fuji and Ship. The decoration gives only a slightest texture on the urushi coated pen body. Nib-wise, Nippon Art pens use No.5 and No.10 nibs, depending on the decoration/painting.
