Just wondering if any one knows just how long the Snorkel was made in Canada?Same time as U.S.A. manufacture ,shorter time or perhaps ,made awhile after U.S. manufactured ceased ?

As to the late colours.I know there were Canadian made ones, in periwinkle, orange, buckskin and fern.Have seen these colour pens marked made in Canada or in one case ,of a person who has one.

I have an Aqua Sentinel with self coloured section on its way to me now. Made in Canada on nib

Just give me the Parker 51s and nobody needs to get hurt.

Cool! It seems your pen is older than mine. (see below) unless of course either of them has had parts replaced...

Mine should be here in a couple more days (unless of course Canada Post takes more than a couple of days to go 40km... which wouldn't be the first time...)

"If the pen is in a color other than black and has a black gripping section, it was made in the years 1952-1956. If it is in a color other than black and has a matching gripping section, it was made in the years 1956-1959. If the Snorkel tube is 14K gold, the pen was made in the first year of production (1952-1953); this feature, as noted earlier, is accompanied by the narrower nib connector ring (only on “TRIUMPH” points). If neither of these features is present, the pen was made later (or has been repaired with some parts replaced)."

Yes, Canada Post has been over whelmed with parcels ever since the virus took hold. With so many staying at home and shopping on line,Canada Post has been busier than they are at Christmas time.Couple that, with the need to self distance at the different postal stations and some not showing up for work ,because they are concerned they could get the virus and it slows the system down very much.

Hope your pen arrives soon.Is this your first snorkel pen?Looking forward to hearing your comments when the pen arrives.:)

Canada post WEST of Ontario has been fine. Once it hits Ontario it becomes a joke. Ex: Took a package originating 200 km west of me half way in the first 8 hours. Then nothing for 13 days. Then it pops up 200km EAST of me and in another province! Took another 3 days after that to actually get it to me. I should have just driven to pick it up myself. Would have cost only slightly more in gas than in postage.

This is not my first snorkel. I have three working and one that will get parts soon. All are triumph nibs (that’s not a coincidence, i much prefer the look of them) two gold and two palladium silver. Really like all of them. I have also used one open nib desk set that was purchased for a family member. Of the 5 i have tried that was the only one i absolutely did not like the way it felt, way too much feedback for my liking.

But this will be my first Canadian snorkel :)

Yes it appears Quebec and Ontario are getting hit the worst,by the virus. No doubt because of their larger populations. That is what is mostly causing a lot of problems with Canada Posts system. All mail going east or west, has to pass through those two Provinces.

My snorkels all have triumph nibs.At present I have one in the mail ,on its way to me,that does not have one.Looking forward to trying that other style nib out,at some point in time.:)

My take on the nibs: Triumph nibs are more likely to stay in alignment but otherwise no difference in smoothness owing simply to design. Once tuned, both are great writers.

General thoughts: it's a snorkel! :P pretty much in line with the other Triumph nib snorkels i have (4 others, two gold two PdAg), but this nib somehow seems harder.. donno why. NONE of them have ANY give, but this one just SEEMS more nail like than the others, but it's very smooth. a little inconsistent in flow, may work on that a bit, maybe.

Just give me the Parker 51s and nobody needs to get hurt.
