Amber's Cleaning Her Ink Cabinet Pif - Read The Details

Should I start a thread for all these PIF ink reviews or make my own thread? Should be arriving today I think

Separate review threads per ink in the Ink Reviews section.

Yes, that is correct. A new thread in the Ink Review Section, but feel free to post a link back here so we can see the joy!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I'd jump in if I didn't have over 200 bottles myself  I need to get some shelves again, since we moved they've all been sitting in a box except for the 5 I'm using for this quarter.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

Thanks everyone for posting the reviews. I am enjoying reading them, even if not all the inks are my cup of tea... or they make me jealous. Enjoy those wonderful inks!

a fountain pen is physics in action... Proud member of the SuperPinks

Packaged received yesterday (a day early woooo!). I laughed for a good 5 minutes over your "samples"... If only the pen stores sold samples like that.

Give me a few days to play around with these and i will post my reviews! Thanks Amber! VERY generous pif!

This is so great, Amber! I'd like to sign up.

I closed it 10 days ago, but I will probably do it again in another month or so.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
