Meh. I haven't really used my pens much at all honestly. Only the Lamy 2000 (using it as my "work pen" -- while I still have a job) and my M800 Renaissance Brown are inked. Other than that, they all sit idle. I'm trying to tell myself I won't have to sell them all off...but we'll see.

Hard to care about such luxuries when you worry about how you will pay your mortgage in two months...YMMV

I get it. Hang in there and good luck.

Not much change for me except that I now mostly stay at home. I have more time to write letters, to read, to tie a few flies for season yet to open & to be grateful that for now, all my family remains healthy.

I do worry about the many Canadians who have temporarily or permanently lost their job. It's a tragedy in the making.

Try to remain positive & stay safe.

My world is largely unchanged. I have never been to a pen show, and a pen club has never been visited. I purchase my pens online, as there is NO pen store withing a 3 hour drive.

I have reduced my purchases, out of an abundance of financial caution, but I continue to work. Only about one in 20 pens I have are currently inked. There really is no need to be on the

flushing treadmill and cycling through 80 to 100 pens. I remain very busy at work, so the weekends are decompression time.

Three out of the four people in the house have jobs which are considered essential, so we keep showing up to work, but take reasonable precautions. Everyone is in good health. No scares here.

The world ticks on, like a waterclock, and I continue to step to it's beat.

:-))) Since the lockdown, I have done something very similar: rapid rotation of ALL my pens. Oh hell, if i have to end up on a ventilator someday, I’ll be sure to use all my beautiful pens as I please before hand.

MB146, Scribo Feel, and Homo Sapiens... You will probably have to buy all three, though not at once. They are all great choices.

3). I have decided to ink up every pen I own (around 50) with a different color and write and doodle to my heart's content.

4). Now that we are in "austerity mode" and I can't buy another pen, I am doing research on the next pen I want to purchase. Will it be another Montblanc 146, Scribo Feel, Visconti Homo Sapiens?

  • 2 weeks later...

Right now I am using Scribo Feel Melograno with extra fine flexible nib. I ordered a few pens from Italy. One is Scribo Feel Together which was release to raise money for a local hospital. I haven't yet received it, but it seemed like a good excuse to get a good pen at this time. I am waiting on Leonard Officina Italiana Momento Zero Grande Sand as well. I hope these little companies survive through this.
