No, I only have the original version of Waterfront Dusk.  I bought it when they still had the brick and mortar store in Pittsburgh, in the hopes that it would be close in color to Noodler's Kung Te Cheng without having KTC's bad behavior of clogging and nib creep.

Thank you, Ruth.  I regret not having a bought a bottle when it was available.  I got samples, in the hope that it would be a good alternative to Kyo-Iro Soft Snow of Ohara if that ink should ever be discontinued.

Sometimes the best pens are the ones you can use without thinking about them. Around 2000, I purchased these two Waterman Phileas discovering that inexpensive doesn't mean cheap.

They've never failed. One stays in the kitchen, the other on my nightstand. I may use them five times a day, or not at all for several weeks. Always ready, the cap snaps off and away they go. If you can find one, they make a great gift to someone new in the sport or for yourself.

Those are the best looking Waterman pens I have seen. I also applaud you on your choice of ink.

Thanks. One has a fine nib and the other a medium though there seems to be no real difference. I now use Waterman Serenity Blue exclusively in these pens and all vintage pens.

It's the only pen I've ever used where people wanted to see it. I was at my attorney's office in early November to sign documents with three expensive lawyers. When it was my turn to sign, I pulled out the pen, and suddenly the signing stopped as the pen was passed around the table and everyone gave it a spin. It was 10 minutes of 'pen talk' before I could sign the documents. Afterwards, one of the lawyers came up to take another look and spent 15 minutes talking and trying it out again. She wanted the information of where to get one.

Glad none of them were on the clock and my dime.

A vintage Italian “The King”, in Parker Duofold Streamlined style from 1930s, in Omas Wild celluloid. I asked Mrs. Iacopini what this celluloid was called before Omas called it “Wild”/Galileo. She said that apparently back then in the 30s it was just called “black with white streaks”. 😀 Alright!

Light Grey Pilot Decimo, F nib, with Iroshizuku Tsutsuji.

Also to hand are the Violet Safari, B nib, still with the inadvertent mix of Birmingham Waterfront Dusk and Birmingham Walnut Street Brown (now diluted; it's not a bad mix but I really wanted to put Waterfront Dusk through its paces); and the purple French-made Parker Vector reissue, newly filled with KWZI IG Violet #2 (I really like both IG Violet #3 and IG Gummiberry, but had picked up a sample of IG Violet #2 and want to compare to the other two inks once I try it out).

I recently picked up a beat-up little red and gold Wearever lever-filler on ebay for almost nothing. I had Danny Fudge fix it up. Not sure even his magic could make this a great pen. Fun, though. Inked with Waterman Black.

Today it was mostly a PenBBS 480 inked with Diamine Cherry Sunburst and a Sailor Procolor inked with Pure Pens Celtic Sea.

Lined paper makes a prison of the page.

TWSBI 580-AL (Pink, B nib) -- Noodler's Baltimore Canyon Blue.

Safari (Violet, B nib) -- that (now diluted) accidental mix of Birmingham Walnut Street Brown and Waterfront Dusk.

Parker Vector (Purple, M nib) -- KWZI IG Violet #2.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
