Nakaya Dorsal Fin 2 Hilarity

I received my Nakaya Dorsal Fin 2 in aka-tamenuri recently and adore it. I ordered it with a BB stub, which I'm really loving. It's such a dream to write with!

 

However...what on earth is the trick to screwing the cap back on so that the dorsal fin actually aligns? I am going through hilarious shenanigans just screwing it back on any which way when I'm in a hurry. I haven't entirely nailed the trick of aligning that fin...

There are multiple start points on the threads, and only one produces proper alignment. Try holding one portion in your hand with fin up (12 o'clock) then try the other portion with fin successively at 12, 3, 6, then 9 o'clock. One will produce the correct alignment and once you find it, just remember it.

 

I have three Dorsal Fin 2's and all three align properly if I start with the barrel fin at 12 and the cap fin at 6, but I don't know if this is true for all DF 2's.

I am not the OP and hope I am not interfering here. I hope he or she will post pictures and a writing sample of his/her pen.

 

These are my four Dorsal Fin 2's (I forgot one in earlier post). Left to right are Heki Tamenuri with Extra Fine, Aka Tamenuri with Extra Broad, Kuro Tamenuri with Extra Fine, and Kuro Ishime Kanshitsu with Extra Broad (my personal favorite of the four).
