Black Pen Society Meeting At The 2019 Dc Show?

Does anyone know the date, time, and location (in the Marriott Fairview Park) of the Black Pen Society meeting at the DC Show?

I keep waiting for the Poobah to declare a blue ink meeting.

Considering the large influx of younger people in the hobby, I understand that there is going to be a joint meeting of the Purple Pen Society and the Purple Ink Society at the DC show. I don't know the details. I think I read about it somewhere.

Let's not be dismissive. I'm not going to the show, either, but I would be consumed with eagerness to attend a joint meeting of the Purple Pen Society and the Purple Ink Society.

I envision practically a civil war between the folks who think it's totally cool to match a purple pen with purple ink, problem solved, next! and other people who might think it extremely limiting to box yourself in by using only purple ink in a purple pen.

No fist fights, I trust, but those are two seriously opposed perspectives.

What we really need, though, is to create a critical mass of interest in the two Societies, so we can nudge them from one kind of reality to another.

I do hope the Black Pen Society was able to convene and to ensure the pin for this year was discussed and a new 2020 designer identified by the Grand PooBah. As a Knight for BPS here in Canada I do send my regrets and I hope to attend in 2020 even if I have to drive from Saskatchewan.

I too was sad to miss the 2019 meeting in DC. I do hope a better venue was found so that the Grand Poobah and other speakers could be heard and understood. I'll be back next year.
