Waterman 92 1/2 Red Ripple

I just purchased the above noted pen.i cannot find any info about this model .

Any information much appreciated

it's an attractive pen - a good find. Whilst the Davis & Lehrer booklet is good for pix, it's very much lacking in production data for most of the Waterman series - a good opportunity missed, unfortunately.

 

From what I can see in the above booklet, the 92 1/2 was made in two versions - g.f. trim with two narrow cap bands, and n.p. trim - often lacking the cap band entirely - it looks to be that the n.p. version might be slightly longer than the g.f. Made, apparently, ca. 1923 - 1929, and presumably another h.r. pen.

 

Not much in the way of real history, but something to chew on. May we see a picture of your pen, please?

Thanks for the info.I am often disappointed in the reference material for Watermans.

I love the Vacumatic and Duofold books but Maxs book not so much.

You can also get scanned copies of waterman catalogs from the pre-war years via archives.org . Although its mostly about marketing there are few pages on how to recommend which nib to go for which person etc (page 57 of 1925).
