He sent me the picture of address section in receipt which was fine, just one digit in postal code seems slightly confusing. The address was of my house which is in the family compound of the hospital.

 

Is your Postal code of the format XXXXX-YYYY? The 'X' denote the locality (5 digits) and 'Y' is building information (4 digits).

 

Which digit seems suspect, is it in the 'X' or the 'Y' section?

I you have not done it yet, I would advise you to

 

- telephone the Client Service of La Poste at : 3631.

 

- Moreover you may write to them at - Service Clients - 99999 La Poste

 

- Or by Mail : For that, go to THIS page, choose case 2, and fill the tracking number of the form that will appear, then you may say what is the matter, and send the mail.

 

I would advise you to phone first, and send a letter with all the details after. By phoning, you will make them open a research case. by sending the letter, there will also be a phisical proof of the case. They will write you back to state the case is regeistered, and the research on. Then, call them every week, until the parcel is found (or not).

 

I must say that when I havve decided to sell all my MB Limited Edition inks (I have many), I have sent parcels all over the world, China included. Three, or four, were in the same situation as yours. I filled a complaint totheir services, and askked for a research to be made (but actually they start doing it the moment you fille the complaint). All my parcels arrived to the person they should have to!

Its just 5 digits here. Not with the building number.Just the district number. I know that there can be issue with address and it can take time because the number on the receipt was hand written with confusion in one digit but the name of the district is also mentioned in the address so the post office which deals with this district im gonna go there. The main problem for me was that Saudi post and the people I contacted in the call centre saying that either the number is wrong or the package never came to Saudi Arabia. They were not catering or taking any responsibility as this tracking number is not in their records at all. Saudi post record never showed that the package landed in saudi Arabia.

Don't bother with the call center, they will just repeat what they can see on the screen.

 

Go with a local to the district post office next week (could be left there for not being delivered) and let him have a chit chat with the staff.

Take a print out of the updates and ensure it includes the tracking number else they will ignore you for having the wrong info.
