Not sure if anyone has come across these, but I discovered this brand last week at Walmart. It's not the smoothest writing experience, but does pretty well for $7 (the one I got was on clearance for $3).

There's a nice review on the new version of this notebook with better paper, less ghosting, and 100gsm paper option here. I picked up a new medium 100gsm yesterday and it looks quite decent. $8.64. The paper is more ivory than a Leuchtterm and the dots are a bit darker/more visible. But for this price, it's hard to beat. They now have one sized for true A5. Worth adding to the pile, I think!

I bought several back at the end of 2017. My store had the 5 x 8.25, plus a smaller hard cover version and a larger Moleskin-style soft cover notebook, all on clearance. I got 8 notebooks for $10. To be honest, I haven't used them yet. They'll come in handy at some point.

While at Walmart I’d noticed a slight brand change but had no idea the quality had improved as well. Thanks for the heads up.

I got the 100gsm notebook. There is some slight ghosting even with my FP pen. It's noticeable enough to bug me. I'm used to my 32# HP which has none.

I just bought one of the updated A5 Dotted Journals anD wow, I must say, these notebooks are blowing me away. The paper does not even allow for ghosting with most pens, and the construction is definitely comparable to Leuchtturm at half the price. The pages are numbered, there is an index at the front, you get two bookmark ribbons, and did I mention the paper is great?! I feel bad because Walmart is not my favorite store, and I like supporting small companies, however, I do not wanna pay twice the price for something of equal of lesser quality.
