Who makes Nemosine pens? And what does the word nemosine mean? I have one, a real jewel! A great low cost pen! Any information about the company will be predicated. C. S.

Check out their web page. https://www.nemosine.com/collections/nemosine-fountain-pens

Quoting from their page: "Nemosine is part of a family owned & operated small business located approximately 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We've been in the fountain pen industry for over a decade and our workshop is always busy with fountain pen assembly, nib tuning, bottling, packaging, and manufacturing fountain pen components in-house at our workshop.

While we machine pens & components on lathes in our Pennsylvania workshop, we also work directly with some of the worlds premier pen component manufacturers. These strategic relationships allow us to deliver a uniquely great fountain pen at an exceptional price relative to quality. Since inception, Nemosine nibs have been produced with our custom tooling by the German manufacturer JoWo, one of the world's premier nib makers.

We derived the Nemosine name around 2001 as a hybrid between Mnemosyne, the greek goddess of memory, and the latin 'nemo' and 'sine' which translates to "no one without". The name became a symbol for our ambition to develop quality, affordable, and thoughtful means of recording memories. Nemosine nibs are beautifully stamped with a butterfly inspired tooling design representing the butterfly effect in Chaos theory."

Is that right? Is Birmingham Pens also the home of Nemosine? Gosh. I had no idea.

I love the board for finding out stuff I didn't know I wanted to know. Thanks, Arkanabar.

“I admit it, I'm surprised that fountain pens are a hobby. ... it's a bit like stumbling into a fork convention - when you've used a fork all your life.”

Josh is awesome too. We emailed back and forth, and I found out he is a fellow Space geek.

It's all run by Kevin. Dude's just awesome.

Hi HB,

You're thinking of Fountain Pen Revolution, (Indian pens),... his name is Kevin. ;)

Hi Misfit,

Yup... that's why all the Nemosine inks had "celestial" names. :)
