Montegrappa Parola Stealth, My First Quality Ballpoint

Recommended Posts

This is my first quality ballpoint, I choose it for daily use at work, I don't need a fountain pen and I prefer ballpoint over roller pen because I prefer to feel some feedback on the paper. I also need a workhorse pen that can write on every type of paper and position. I choose a stealth total black look so it will not look like an expensive or luxury pen.

It comes with black refill but I ordered some blue in M size, next time I will order B size.

I love it!

My first choice was the Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age but it was out of stock and I waited too much time, so my interest faded out 'cause I'm thinking that's too expensive for me, maybe in the future...

Nice pen, congratulation! Can you take some pictures along with some other pens, just to see the size? Also maybe a small review will be useful. The pen use twist to action/retract?

For a good quality ballpoint pens, I have in my collection 4 Aurora Ipsilon, a Porsche Design P3110 Tecflex gold and steel, Karas Kustoms Retarkt, Bolt and EDK. Also on the way to me: Inoxcrom Corinthian Azul.

From Montegrappa I like Nero Uno ballpoint, but I don't like the price!

I like the weight of the pen, 40 gr that makes it feeling solid. Total lenght is about 145 mm, like a BIC without cap.

Twist action is good using only one hand too.

Montegrappa refill are very good, but I dont know if they are just a rebranded schmid refill.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
