Piston Or Vacuum Filler That Takes Esterbrook Nibs?

Hello everyone,

What do you think of the idea of a piston or vacuum filler that takes Esterbrook nibs?

It would look something like an Omas Ogiva Alba / Cocktail. A demonstrator style in transparent plastic in different colors; but is threaded for Esterbrook nibs.

Yes they fit, but when you put the cap on, it crunches the nib. At least the half a dozen piston filling rapidographs that I had did that.

But what I'm thinking of is more along the lines of a Pelikan demonstrator, made in different colors. Only modelled after the Omas Ogiva Cocktail Vodka Yellow that I have (my favorite pen).

I think it sounds like a good idea. I’m afraid t would drive up the cost of the nib units, but I already have more than I need. I’d be curious.

And it holds a spit of ink. Just about the same as a converter. A decent piston filler can hold two or three times as much. A vacumm filler holds even more.

The reason I was thinking about Estie nibs, is because nibs and feeds are hard to make. I'm designing a small plastic injection molder that would be capable of making FP's Or parts, such as a working piston filler unit for pen turners, so they don't have to rely on converters.
