Apparently the Palladium version is currently backordered; I've seen some early reports that Lamy is having supplier issues with the coating. Does anybody know what's going on and when we can expect them to be available again?

What a great collection! Congratulations!

I am extremely fortunate to have gotten one of the Wild Rubin Studios with a gold nib. it is amazing and one of my very favorite pens.

Ive been told that LAMY is switching suppliers on its Palladium finishes, and as a result all pens in those finishes are going to be in short supply for a few months.

Based on your enthusiasm for the pen I've ordered a Palladium version - it's out of stock everywhere but Cultpens is promising to get one from Lamy. I hope they have found their new supplier!

I assume the coatings for their pens are contracted out? Does anybody know?

Great collection anyway! :-)

I believe that the PT (Platinum) (2010) was available in a BB nib.

At the time, I was hoping that Lamy would make Platinum pens with engraved designs, Parker 75's style.

I see many resemblances between my 75 and my Studios, the other way would be for Parker to just make a 130% version of the 75.

Congratulations! You're gonna love it. I hope it arrives quickly. :)

I imagine LAMY makes its enamel and anodised coatings itself (because so many of its products use them), but perhaps the high-end metallic ones like Palladium and Platinum are done through some third-party specialist. Just guessing, though!

I found out that the 75's original feeds, while fabulous, became brittle over the years.

I think that Studios with gold nibs, including BB, the Palladium grip and etched Platinum bodies would be best sellers.

Etched patterns do not need to mimic old Parker's, in case the present company, doesn't like it.

Chevrons, squares, rectangles, deck of card symbols, ellipses, triangles, stars single or in pair repeated patterns would be wonderful to use. Some of the pen could also have enameled etched patterns.

Lamy has such of sense of esthetic, it could really be another classy variation of the Studio.

I know but... A Studio Ciselé... . They'd have to up their finish quality though, a lot.

It would be pretty indeed, but it wouldn't match Lamy's minimalist aesthetic. It feels like something a company like Cross would offer.

Thank you, this was great!

I think the trio Imperial Blue, Platinum Grey and Racing Green are the nicest of the bunch.

I really wanted to love the Studio, but it just doesn't agree with my hand.

Over the top collection of Studios.

I have but one, the Olive - but am quite pleased with it.

That is some next level OCD (and I mean that as a compliment).

It is an essential trait to be a great collector. biggrin.png
