@DilettanteG I really like your Anthracite demonstrator.

Thanks! It's the last of the M200/205 demonstrator series I bought, and I think the second most expensive. (The M205 Aquamarine came from Germany which added quite a bit to the price.) Bertram's Inkwell sent it out super quickly packed in new packaging with even the little white pleather holder. I need to figure out a better ink for it than the Jacques Herbin Shogun. Those shimmery bits don't seem to be a great fit with the Pelikan feeds.

One more pen to post and I think I'm done collecting this series unless I buy the Cognac or they release a new one.

This should be the last of my shopping spree until my m605 Black Tortoiseshell comes from The Nibsmith with its custom cursive italic broad grind. I think the 7-9 week lead time is almost over.

Until then, here's my M205 Demonstrator with a fine nib:

It's been really fun updating my Pelikan Special Edition Collection these last three months. I can't believe I found everything in the M101N and the M200/M205 demonstrator series so quickly. I hope you've enjoyed the pictures as much as I've enjoyed sharing them!

I found one with a factory italic 1.1 nib  and am sorely tempted. Only 5 days into my pens/ink/paper no buy month and I'm weakening!

Oh jealous. I passed on buying one on Reddit that came with the italic and another nib. The seller was in the UK I think because the price was in pounds. I got the Smoky Quartz instead. It came in a set with the ink. It was $106 in all from a liquidator on eBay. That was several years ago.

Killer deal!

I’d promised myself no more pens for awhile, so I’m still trying to justify buying that cognac italic. Frankly, my monster-in-law has been such a nightmare lately I probably deserve a treat for my self restraint dealing with her. Maybe I should treat myself? 🤔

It really is an attractive color. But so are the other tinted demonstrators. The Olivine is better looking than I expected.

@DilettanteG if it makes you feel better, I ordered a Goldspot/Kaweco exclusive AL Sport in Mercury Orange with a BB nib. It had only two nib sizes left. No way to know if it was running out, or would be restocked. I did search for coupon codes, and got 10% off.

Had an absolute bear of a day yesterday, so I was very happy to come home to my new M200 Cognac with an italic nib. This is my most expensive M200 to date, but @Misfit was right it is a lovely pen! It does look like the same bind (binde?) material as my M200 Amber, but the gold trimmed cap is definitely an improvement. Plus, the cap on my Amber is stained. So, I needed a new one, right? Right!

So, here's what it looks like:

You so needed and deserved a new one. You need a break from the irritants at work and in family. So yes, yes and yes you needed and deserved it. My Cognac salutes yours (and one other person I know owns one @Runnin_Ute).

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
