2019 is fast upon us and so is the first meeting of the Desert Pen Collectors. We are going to visit Aaron of Pentiques fame at his place on the west side. Saturday the 12th at 1:00 PM.

Thanks Pentique for hosting a great meeting of the Desert Pen Collectors! Aaron and wife Kim allowed us into their home and workshop, and we appreciate it greatly. We got a chance to look at the excellent set up Aaron has for working on all kinds of pens, and the incredible array of tools. Some very pen specific, and some otherwise normal tools set up as needed for fine pen work. He even repaired and tuned up a few pens for members as we watched--one he wishes he hadn't dug into! Convinced us all to think twice before trying this at home kids. I realize it is a bit of a drive if you are on far east side of town, but it was well worth it. Don't miss the next time I convince Aaron to host us in the workshop! And of course a solid collection of vinyl is a necessity when in your workshop. We are fortunate in Phoenix to have a pen repair expert like Aaron in town, he has put a number of my older pens back in top shape and can do the same for you.
