Good Ink For Checks

In addition to all that's been said here, you would probably also want to use a fine-point nib to further avoid any problems with bleed-through, feathering and ghosting.

Yes I use a Pilot Metro Fine Nib which is EXTREMELY fine.

I've haven't done checks in a long time but I do sometimes money orders. I found that for example the USPS Money orders are very slow to dry with the inks that I have like for example I've use Bay State Blue and it feathers a little, long time to dry and Bullet Proof Black long time to dry. However I do allot of contracts at work, but paper quality is bad so the best ink from my collection I've use is the Noodler's 54th Massachusetts, wont feather color is beautiful and dries fast. I love that ink just recently received it.

FP's: Noodler's Charlie Pen, Noodler's King Philip Ahab, JinHao X450 Blue, JinHao X750 Gold, Jinhao 599 Transparent, Hero 366 Green, Hero 9626, Hero 329-A Jinhao Shark Black and Green,Jinhao 992 Coffee, Lamy Safari Black, Lanbitou /2 Transparent/ 1 Black /1 Red/1 Beige, Hero 9075 Black, Twsbi Go Saphire, Jinhao Porcelain Horses, Pilot Vanishing Point Black
INKS: Noodler's Heart of Darkness - Baystate Blue - Apache Sunset - Bullet Proof Black - Blue Nose Bear - Black Swan In Australian Roses - Widow Maker - 54th Massachusetts - Navajo Turquoise - Burning Rome - General of The Armies
OTHER INKS: Thortons - Green / Pelikan-Blue / J. Herbin 1670- Ocean Blue / Diamine Skulls and Roses

I have had the exact opposite experience with 54th Mass.

I went with Noodler's Black. It is ok, but still bleeds through a lot. Not much you can do about that I guess.

That's surprising to hear. Bulletproof Black was designed to be used on the miserable quality that is newspaper.

A rather cheap but high quality pen like Pilot Metropolitan + Koh-i-Noor document ink (which is extremely cheap and indestructible) is a decent combo.

Seeking a Parker Duofold Centennial cap top medallion/cover/decal.
My Mosaic Black Centennial MK2 lost it (used to have silver color decal).

Preferably MK2. MK3 or MK1 is also OK as long as it fits.
Preferably EU.

I used MB Irish green to write a check for a car last week. I wasnt planning to use the ink but the manager at the dealer happened to have a MB Defoe with Irish Green and I asked to use his pen. He didnt really believe me when I said I was a FP user but he let me use his pen when I identified what model it was.

The ink probably isnt the most secure but I didnt think a ford dealer would mess with my check.
