Just wondering if anyone has tried this ink and its suitable for our pens. Any input welcome.

It's fountain pen ink and yes it is suitable for fountain pens. It's made in Germany

Great input so far. Yes I assumed it was German. Happy to hear it’s safe because it’s relatively inexpensive and I want to order the bus bottle of pink and some other colors also.

Purchased three bottles {3,38 fl oz each} of Navy Blau from Germany in 2016..finishing the last bottle at this time.

I have a bottle of dark violet. It is excellent ink. The tall bottle will need to be decanted into a smaller bottle when the level falls below what a pen or syringe can reach. An old Montblanc or Sheaffer bottle, for example.

They are good inks and very good value.

 

Member visvamitra has reviewed most of them.

I think they less well-known (but definitely not unknown) simply because they are created for a small supplier.

 

Georg Seitz runs a stationery and fine goods store in the small town Bad Kreuznach, in the gorgeous wine growing Pfalz region of Germany.

and he also mixes some good quality inks within the firm. But, as you can guess, he is not a big firm like Pelikan or Lamy. This is craft brew ink he is selling.

 

I buy a lot of my supplies from him as he is not far away and has good prices on German and French stationery items.

 

I have tried 3 of his own banded inks so far and have been impressed by each of them. The last one I bought is Pacific Blue and its become one of my favourite blues - a bit like Waterman Bleu Serenite but brighter. I would also recommend the Navy Blue he mixes.

Im definitely going to be ordering several of these inks from Amazon USA.

We ordered several through Amazon. They came from Germany anyway, but it didn’t take long. I love their Navy, Tomato, and Burgundy.

Bad K is about 2h30 from Düsseldorf by Autobahn. Not so close.

Frankfurt is closer - about an hour distant.

I got a sample of Seitz-Kreuznach Arctic Blue, but I didn't like it....the color was too pale. But I'm open to trying other S-K inks.

I have Palm Green in a 1946 Parker Victory and am quite happy with the results. My niece has been delighted with the Dark Orchid. The store also sells through eBay and the service was excellent.

Looking at the shop, he does Neon Yellow. I wonder if it is pigmented? He does say it is FP friendly.

I tried their Tomato Red. Nice ink. Bright red color. Well behaved.

 

Ink bottle is less than ideal. It can tip over very easily.

 

If I remember correctly, the ink is made in Germany but the bottle is made in Austria.

 

I have not tried any others save for the Tomato Red.

I've had their tomato red ink in my sights, but since I also have Rouge Hematite and Diamine Poppy Red it hasn't been as urgent.

I have not tried the colours mentioned by the OP, but I have Chestnut Brown - very close to being a real brown without any significant red or green undertones and very well behaved. I also have the Slate Grey - I would call that a vintage black; not really black, not really grey and well behaved as well. Very nice inks indeed.

Several Seitz-Kreuznach inks are in my 2007 Clark's Ink Sampler. I got the idea that they were essentially equivalent to R&K, cos some of the names are identical. But that was over 10 years ago, and ink formulations have definitely changed since then.
