Saw this at a local Michael's store earlier this week. Looks like a great way to store inks.

The only thing I could foresee is that depending on the ink box/bottle some might be difficult to pull out of those square slots, as the slots look quite deep. I visualised dropping a Sailor box into one, and not being able to get my fingers around it to get it out again. :o

Also, you would only be able to see the top of the box, and sometimes the ink colour info is on the front label.

Ok, ran over to Michael's this afternoon. Just got back in fact. Bought one. The dividers DO come out, they are held in place with a tiny bit of white glue on the bottom of each one. In fact, without too much trouble I was able to take them all out. On the short ones there was maybe three or four small spots of glue on the bottom of each divider. I pulled the center one out in the car sitting at a traffic light.

As is, a Lamy bottle with box is a snug fit but it does fit. Pelikan and Iroshizuku bottles require the removal of one divider to fit, but you can get two boxed 62.5 ml bottles of Pelikan 4001 in that space. It is tall enough for KWZI and Noodler's bottles with no issues.

With an assortment of inks. All are below the top of the crate. Even the cap on a 10 ml vial is at or below.

Nice!

If it were mine, I'd put the Lamy ink in a "2 wide" slot as well so it wasn't as much of a hassle to get it out of the little cubby.

Great that everything sits below surface level so you can stack them.

Thanks, Greg. I agree, the Lamy inks (I have two) might better in one of the double spaces. This was a more, what fits in what space and take a picture. I tried to use an example of at least one of each bottle/box size for a test fit. I need to go through all my ink and set up the best combination in this.

I have a bunch of sample vials - both 5 & 10 ml just hanging out in plastic bags. This would allow me to stand them up- and the ones that I might use more frequently in one of the vial racks I have.

I was able to get all my bottles except two Noodler's which are ones I use less frequently. Black and Blue Eel. Some spaces had room for more than one. Like the 30 ml Blackstone as an example. Four bottles fit in one space.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
