Twsbi Vac Mini Jiggly Nib -- Help!

I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this problem. The nib on my TWSBI Mini Vac jiggles when I write with it, to the point that I can't really use it for writing any more. By jiggly, I mean it partially lifts off the nib feed as I write, as though it weren't seated properly. I've removed the nib and nib feed several times and tried to re-seat them, but it hasn't corrected the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't see any cracks. The pen is still in like-new condition because I've hardly been able to write with it. It's been more or less like this since I bought it a year ago. I love the piston fill and the clean way to fill it using the TWSBI Vac20 Inkwell. I don't want to give up on this pen. Does anyone have any solutions? I'd surely like to get this pen up and running. (Note: I've never tried to disassemble it all the way before; I've only ever slid the metal nib and black plastic ink feed out of the barrel to try to correct it, without success.)

 

I also have the TWSBI Eco and TWSBI Diamond Mini and haven't encountered this problem with either of those pens.

Oh, I should probably add that the nib is EF. It's almost as if the metal nib is too large for the black plastic nib feed or something. It just won't stay tight against it.

I have had some fiddly issues with my Vac Mini but nothing like that - sounds like a warped feed or nib or a manufacturing issue somewhere in the nib unit: poor nib setting, warped collar...

 

The Eco and Vac Mini nibs are the same size - you could try swapping nibs to see if you have the same problem with a different nib in the Mini (or with your Vac nib in the Eco) - might help narrow down the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Glad to know the nibs are swappable.

 

I had my husband look at it, too. Apparently I was inserting the nib against a little indentation in the nib barrel section, when it should have been anywhere else but there (this is opposite of Rotring ArtPens where the nib feed slides with the nib against where the indentation on the barrel is). The pen is up and running great now.
