This should go in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen...., imo...

I don't have a Mixoo stylus pen, but I do have a cheap Chinese stylus pen, as well as an Adonit Mini. My Adonit Mini gave me skipping hell, but after removing the disc, adding a bit of aluminum foil in it, and reattaching it, it started working well. It's actually a bit bent too, but it's still comfortably usable.

The cheap Chinese stylus pen, on the other hand, also works, but the disc is quite loose (it still stays on, but it really moves and jiggles around a lot). Considering the price of the Mixoo, I don't think it'll have that issue, but the design of it and my stylus pen is quite similar, so be prepared.

For the current half price off, it might be worth it, especially if it's of higher quality than what I got, but if you're getting it at a regular price of >$20, skip it and get something with a more trusted brand.

How does that work?

It works like any other capacitive stylus, just that instead of a broad tip with a vague point, it has a narrower tip that's more intuitive to work with. The disc is less of some balancer and more of us a padding between the metal tip and the screen (If it were merely a metal tip, it'd damage your screen pretty fast, especially if you perss hard).

For the current half price off, it's

hello all,

thanks for your messages.

personally I think that model is better than what you all recommended, compared with their quality.

I also know that different people have different ideas about which one is better.

many thanks

Of course, for a real fountain-pen-like experience — variable line width, pressure sensitivity, gradations of tone, et al — you'd want an Apple Pencil (which I think costs about 100 USD). It's compatible with the new entry-level iPad introduced this week (329 USD).

I'd love to get this stuff, but I've been indulging myself lately with the new Pelikan and a whole bunch of inks, and guilt is starting to set in.

hello,

thanks for your discussion. It does not matter. compared this model with your stylus bought before, our stylus is not used in ink and ours is the high tech in the marketplace.

do you consider trying one ?

many thanks

Neoply, you don't have to preface every post with a greeting.

Also, though it won't differ much, I can pretty much guarantee you that that Montblanc ScreenWriter will be less painful of an experience.

This isn't so much a discussion on whether or not the stylus will work (They're pretty simple, even the disc-based ones), this is a discussion on how durable they are.

I don't think anyone here has used a Mixoo pen, so you'll have to be the first one to report on how well-built it is.

You've already bought one, presumably, considering your other post. Aside from the right-clicking chaos, is it as advertised? Is the disc loose? Does it maintain a consistent line when you drag it?
